Ed Krzyzaniak is an award-winning Los Angeles-based musician with roots in Michigan. His musical journey began at age six when his father sold a car to a friend, accepting an Epiphone acoustic guitar as part of the payment. Growing up surrounded by the sounds of Elvis, The Beatles, Glen Campbell, and various bluegrass artists, Ed’s passion for music was ignited early on. A true multi-instrumentalist, Ed excels on guitar and also performs on bass, vocals, keys, mandolin, violin, and banjo. His extensive career includes recording hundreds of songs, touring globally with bands, and writing/co-writing tracks for radio, film, and TV.
Ed’s musical journey reads like a who’s who of the entertainment industry. He’s jammed with Grammy winners and nominees, Stellar Award winners, and even Academy Award and Golden Globe nominees. From the iconic Michael Sembello, known for the #1 hit “Maniac,” to Timothy Bloom, a two-time Grammy winner, Ed’s collaborations span genres and accolades. He’s teamed up with gospel music’s highest honor recipient, Kynne Smith, and worked alongside Grammy nominee Mel Holder of KC and the Sunshine Band fame.
Not only has Ed co-written several tracks with Michael Sembello and Joyce Wilson for their album “High Noon Joy,” but he also played guitar on Barry Keenan’s track “In the North Country,” which made it onto the 2021 Grammy ballot. His guitar skills have earned him an Aza Award for Best Guitarist, and he contributed to Jettson (Dale Fisher) songs, which landed an L.A. Music indie rock finalist award. Ed’s songwriting prowess was recognized with a Unisong top songwriter finalist award for his work with Parallel Motion Music.
Ed’s impressive resume doesn’t stop there. He’s recorded with Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, performed with Larry Dunn of Earth, Wind and Fire, and collaborated with Rami Jaffee of the Foo Fighters and Wallflowers. His work with the Invisible Poet Kings, produced by Matt Forger (known for Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney), even made its way into the movie “Kickboxer” and the TV show “The Young and the Restless.” Other highlights include sessions with Alex Del Zoppo (Sweetwater, Beach Boys), Donnell Spencer Jr. (Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder), and Laura Hall (Whose Line Is It Anyway?).
Ed’s versatility shines through his live performances too, having been the live guitarist for the Battle of the Dance show. From rock legends to TV show themes, Ed’s musical touch has left an indelible mark across genres and generations.
Ed’s career is a dazzling tour through the world of music, from rocking out with Grammy legends like Michael Sembello and Timothy Bloom to collaborating with Stellar Award winner Kynne Smith and Grammy nominee Mel Holder.
