About Regina:

In 2015 Regina released her stunning debut solo blues album Open Up The Door. She composed both the music and lyrics for nine of the ten songs along with some co-producing alongside world-acclaimed bluesman Michael Hill. Michael also plays guitar and sings on the record, along with some of the country’s premier musicians. This collection of tunes represents modern blues with a ton of soul and storytelling at it’s finest.  The album received multiple glowing reviews from the press both nationally and internationally. The readers of Blues-E-News voted Regina number 8 of the top 25 women in music and Big City Rhythm & Blues magazine dubbed her the “Queen of New York City Blues.” “Open Up The Door” received heavy rotation on SiriusXM BB King’s Bluesville radio station and was a #1 Pick To Click and featured in the “Rack Of Blues”. The album enjoyed worldwide airplay including Australia, the UK and Europe.

In 2018 Regina released her follow up album Love Letter on True Groove Records backed by the True Groove All Stars. This album also went on to rach up multiple blues chart positions, press accolades and worldwide airplay. About the album Ms. Bonelli stated: “This collection of songs represent empowerment and healing in a world so sorely in need of both. These are tense and trying times we live in today, and I hope that the messages in these songs reach into the souls of the listeners. I truly believe that this is what music can, and should do – especially the Blues”.

Released in March 2022, Regina’s 3rd album Truth Hurts also on the True Groove labelachieved over 40 consecutive weeks on the Roots Music Report Charts and is still receiving worldwide air play just as her first two albums did including rotation on BB King’s Sirius XM channel and all major blues radio worldwide. On this album she added the title of Producer to her arsenal and collaborated with Michael “Kidd Funkadelic” Hampton of Parliament Funkadelic on a soulful cover of the Allman Brothers Band classic “It’s Not My Cross to Bear”.
